Royal Caribbean Settles Suit Over Man Who Died Falling Overboard

A federal court in Florida dismissed a wrongful death suit against Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. after the company reached a settlement with the family of an Australian man who fell overboard in 2019.

Jonathan K. Pfahl was aboard Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas cruise ship, which departed from Miami, with his wife and two children, according to a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
