Roku Gets Some of Michigan Children’s Privacy Claims Tossed

Michigan’s attorney general can’t pursue multiple privacy-related claims against Roku Inc. in a case about how the streaming technology company uses data regarding children, a federal judge ruled Tuesday as he let other claims proceed.

Five claims that Attorney General Dana Nessel (D) brought against the company fail on standing grounds, Chief Judge Stephen J. Murphy III wrote as he granted Roku the relief it requested.
