Rocket Mortgage LLC didn’t pay Michigan workers for pre-shift meetings, preparatory tasks, or mandatory trainings, a proposed class action filed on Thursday alleges.
According to the complaint filed in the Eastern District of Michigan, workers at the Rocket Cos. unit were required to attend off-the-clock meetings with their supervisors and teams to discuss work matters before their shift started.
The meetings “often extended past the formal shift start time, so that employees could not clock in until after the formal shift time,” the complaint says.
