Roche Diagnostics Unable to Beat Covid-19 Vaccine Exemption Suit

Roche Diagnostics Corp. is unable to shake a former manager’s lawsuit after a district court ruled it didn’t reasonably accommodate the ex-worker’s request for a religious exemption from the Covid-19 vaccine.

The healthcare diagnostic company was denied summary judgment on former product marketing manager Adam Sterle’s Title VII failure to accommodate claim on Thursday, Judge Richard L. Young wrote in his order. Roche failed to show the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana how it acted reasonably when it transferred Sterle to a temporary position after he refused to take the mandatory vaccine for religious reasons.
