Robolaw Revives Patent Claims Over Automated Legal Form Tech

Robolaw Corp. relaunched a patent infringement suit alleging a competitor improperly used technology that automates customized legal forms.

The complaint, filed Nov. 7 in the US District Court for the District of Nevada, claims File Right Inc. directly and indirectly infringed software patents ‘569 and ‘663 to deliver immigration and naturalization forms to consumers across the country. Those patents “cover foundational automated document creation” technology that allows consumers to generate customized legal documents without the help of a lawyer, according to the complaint.
