Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Rush Street Gaming LLC negligently failed to protect the personal and financial information of thousands of people that was exposed in a November data breach, according to a proposed federal class action filed Wednesday.
Lead plaintiff Shawn Martin alleges that Rivers Casino and Rush Street breached their duties under common law, contract law, industry standards and the Federal Trade Commission Act to implement reasonable and adequate data-security measures and provide timely notice of the breach.
