The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued RI International for subjecting an ex-employee and a class of similarly-aggrieved female employees to a hostile work environment.
The EEOC’s lawsuit against Recovery Innovations, Inc. d/b/a RI International, alleges RI International failed to provide a reasonable accommodation for Chiara Munna’s disability and terminated her employment because of her disability.
The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, says RI International violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
