Reuters Blocks Bid for Meta AI Training Agreement in OpenAI Suit

Reuters News & Media Inc. convinced a federal judge that authors suing OpenAI Inc. for copyright infringement shouldn’t have access to its training licensing agreement with Meta Platforms Inc.

The authors didn’t show why they can’t access the information they seek from OpenAI, expert witness testimony, or other less intrusive means, US Magistrate Judge Robert M. Illman of the US District Court for the Northern District of California said in a Wednesday order denying their motion to compel.
