Remote Trial Order Ruled ‘Unreasonable’ by Texas High Court

The Texas Supreme Court on Friday reversed a trial judge’s order imposing a remote jury trial on parties that did not want it, calling that decision “arbitrary and unreasonable.”

Without hearing oral argument the top Texas court granted the plaintiff and defendant’s writ of mandamus, directing the 270th District Court of Harris County to vacate its decision because it was an abuse of discretion.
