The estate of the late MF DOOM has filed a lawsuit seeking to force a music industry veteran to return the hip-hop artist’s 31 copyrighted rhyme books after the imprint owner allegedly stole them.
The lawsuit filed Tuesday alleges that Eothen Alapatt, of Now-Again Records, bought the notebooks from his Los Angeles studio’s landlord for $12,500 after DOOM ended up unable to return to the US after an immigration issue.
