Racetrack Says Bettors Can’t Reorder Kentucky Derby Payouts

A proposed class action by bettors who say they would have won their wagers on the Kentucky Derby but for Medina Spirit being incorrectly named first-place finisher should be dismissed as speculative, derby home Churchill Downs Racetrack said.

The suit names Churchill Downs as well as Bob Baffert, the trainer of Medina Spirit, who was later found to have been doped with a performance-enhancing substance.
