Law firm Quintaros, Prieto, Wood & Boyer PA fired the managing partner of its Metairie, La., while she was on medical leave for breast cancer treatment, a lawsuit filed in New Orleans federal court says.
Pamela Carter alleges Quintaros Prieto discriminated against her based on her disability and retaliated against her for taking approved time off under the Family and Medical Leave Act in the complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
