Quinn Emanuel Disqualified From Masimo Board Fight With Founder

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP has been disqualified as counsel for Masimo Corp. directors by a California state court judge in one of several lawsuits across the US in which the medical technology company and its founder have sued each other.

Orange County Superior Court Judge Thomas J. Lo granted Joe Kiani’s motion to block the Los Angeles-based law firm from representing Masimo in Kiani’s employment lawsuit against the company. Quinn Emanuel had previously served as Masimo and Kiani’s counsel in other litigation involving Politan Capital Management LP.
