Quality Inn Parent Company Sues Hotel Sold by Former Franchisee

Choice Hotels International Inc., the parent company of the Quality Inn brand, says a hotel that was sold by a former Quality Inn franchisee has continued using the brand’s signage and and is infringing its trademarks.

The franchisee, Pocono Plaza Inn, allegedly defaulted on its franchise agreement in 2017 and later sold the property to Pocono Om Sai Ram LLC, Choice Hotels’ complaint filed on Wednesday in the US District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania says.
