A former business partner who says he helped LaVar Ball build his business before he was ousted from the company has accused Puma North America Inc. of infringing trademarks he created for Ball’s sons.
Gregory Alan Foster says that Puma has been making “signature” shoes as part of a $100 million sponsorship deal for LaMelo Ball that infringes trademarks Foster has a legal ownership right in, according to his complaint filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California on Monday. LaVar and Tina Ball are named defendants.
