Psychology Today Must Defend Case Over Google Website Tracking

The publisher of Psychology Today failed to convince a federal court to toss a proposed class action alleging that allowing Google to track people’s mental health care searches violates their privacy rights.

In their suit filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, lead plaintiffs R.C. and D.G. alleged that Sussex Publishers’ website allowed Google Analytics to run without anonymization as users were connected with potential therapists.
