University of Louisville School of Medicine officials agreed to end a lawsuit with a child psychiatry professor who alleged his Free Speech rights were violated by backlash to a presentation he gave on gender dysphoria.
Allan Josephson and six current and former medical school officials filed a joint stipulation of dismissal with prejudice on Monday with the US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, noting that “the parties have settled all claims raised in this litigation.” According to a press release from Alliance Defending Freedom, which represents Josephson, he will receive a nearly $1.6 million settlement.
