Prudential Settles Comverse Exec’s Suit Over Disability Payments

Prudential Insurance Co. of America has reached a settlement of a lawsuit challenging its termination of disability payments to a vice president of the now-defunct computer software company Comverse Technology.

The US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit stayed the case Wednesday after the parties filed a notice of settlement. The case is before the First Circuit on plaintiff Brian Smith’s appeal of a lower court ruling that his suit is untimely.
