Prosecutors Under Scrutiny for Claims of Intentional Misconduct

A federal judge in Texas is taking a hard look at allegations that prosecutors intentionally withheld potentially exculpatory information from the defendants in a criminal fraud case.

The numerous failures led Judge Alfred H. Bennett to declare a mistrial in the health-care fraud case.

Bennett ordered the government to produce a list of all the witnesses it interviewed during its investigation into the alleged misconduct along with any written summaries of the interviews.
