Progressive Leasing LLC has agreed to settle a proposed class action arising from a 2023 data breach that exposed the information of more than 193,000 people.
The plaintiffs and Progressive notified the US District Court for the District of Utah July 7 that a class-wide settlement of the consolidated litigation has been reached, according to a docket entry. Judge David Barlow granted their request the same day for a 90-day extension of a stay of all proceedings in the case except third-party discovery, and ordered them to provide a status report or notice of dismissal by Oct. 6.
