Professor Wins Injunction Over University of Oregon X Account

University of Oregon is preliminarily enjoined from blocking a Portland State University professor from its @UOEquity X account, a federal judge said.

Bruce Gilley, commented “all men are created equal” in response to a @UOEquity post on the platform formerly known as X. A now-former University of Oregon employee, tova stabin, blocked Gilley for “‘not just being obnoxious, but bringing obnoxious people to the site,’” Judge Marco A. Hernandez, of the US District Court for the District of Oregon, said. Gilley sued stabin in her personal and official capacities.
