Postmates Beats Claims of Overcharging Restaurants During Covid

Postmates LLC shook off a proposed class action Tuesday alleging the delivery service overcharged food service establishments during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Named plaintiff Micheli & Shel LLC can’t pursue the claims under two New York City laws that capped fees delivery companies could charge restaurants during the pandemic because the laws provide no private cause of action, Judge Jesse M. Furman of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled.
