Post Cereal $15 Million False Ad Class Deal Gets Final Approval

Post Foods LLC and consumers who said it deceptively portrayed some cereals as healthy despite a high sugar content secured a California federal judge’s final approval for a $15 million class settlement that includes $5 million in attorneys’ fees.

The deal, which plaintiffs’ attorneys said appears to be one of the largest food false ad class settlements in U.S. history, got the final green light June 25 from Judge William H. Orrick of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
