Pornhub Owner Can’t Escape Woman’s Trafficking, Privacy Claims

Mindgeek, the operator of Pornhub and other adult-oriented sites, failed to convince a federal court to dismiss several privacy claims from a child sex trafficking victim whose videos were uploaded to its sites.

Mindgeek’s business model gave sufficient credence to the allegation that it willfully intruded into the plaintiff’s private affairs, and it’s at least plausible the adult film distributor is liable for putting her in a false light, according to the opinion from the US District Court for the Central District of California.
