The owner of Next Level Partners LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm specializing in campaign finance compliance, has pleaded guilty to wire fraud, admitting she misused a $1.5 million Economic Injury Disaster Loan.
Jennifer May entered her guilty plea before Judge Christopher R. Cooper in the US District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday.
As part of her plea deal, May admitted that she falsely represented that she would use the loan for NLP’s working capital and payroll when she really intended to speculate in cryptocurrencies.
