Political Consultant Facing Fraud Charge Tied to Emergency Loan

The owner of DC-based political consulting firm Next Level Partners LLC has been charged with wire fraud after she allegedly misused a $1.5 million Economic Injury Disaster Loan.

Jennifer May, who launched Next Level Partners after serving as a key campaign staffer for former US Rep. John Adler (D-NJ) and other Democrats, was charged by criminal complaint on Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.

The complaint alleges that May applied for a modification to an existing EIDL application, requesting an additional $1.5 million in funds for her business from the pandemic-era Small Business Administration program. ...
