PlayStation Antitrust Settlement Rejected Over Lack of Clarity

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC‘s $7.85 million antitrust settlement with a group of PlayStation gamers who allege the company monopolized the market for digital games was preliminarily rejected by a San Francisco federal court Thursday.

Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín said the settlement plan reached in March lacked specificity and failed to conform with class action settlement guidelines in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, but she said the plaintiffs can remedy the deficiencies within 30 days.
