Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center has been sued by a plastic surgeon who alleges he faced age discrimination and retaliation which led to losing leadership positions at the academic medical center.
Dr. Joseph Shin says he successfully ran the center’s Wound Care, Pediatric Craniofacial Team, and Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency programs but was stripped of his leadership roles after expressing concerns about age bias. Shin was 61 years old at the time he started experiencing the alleged discrimination, the complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire says.
