Planned Parenthood Federation of America has settled a race discrimination suit brought by the group’s former director of multicultural brand engagement, who alleged that she was fired after complaining about systemic racial discrimination at the reproductive health nonprofit.
The parties advised that “all claims asserted herein have been settled in principle,” Judge Arun Subramanian of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said Wednesday. He ordered that the case be dismissed without prejudice, with the right to reopen within 60 days “if the settlement is not consummated” by then.
