Piedmont Healthcare Beats Pixel Suit Over Data Shared With Meta

Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare Inc. defeated for now a proposed class action alleging it disclosed the personal health information of patients to Meta Platforms Inc. without their consent in violation of federal and state privacy laws.

The plaintiffs failed to show that they suffered actionable damages, an essential element of their claims of breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, breach of express contract, breach of implied contract, and unjust enrichment, Judge Thomas W.
