Philip Morris Blocked From Joining Reynolds, ITG Brands Case

A judge rejected Philip Morris USA Inc.'s effort to join a long-running Delaware lawsuit between two other Big Tobacco companies arguing over payments owed to the state of Florida under a 1990s-era tobacco settlement.

Philip Morris sought to intervene in ITG Brands’ lawsuit against Reynolds American Inc. over payments to Florida for brands ITG acquired from Reynolds, including the Winston, Salem, Kool, and Maverick tobacco product lines.
