Philadelphia Police Officer’s Same-Sex Harassment Suit Trimmed

A sergeant in the Philadelphia Police Department suing over alleged sexual harassment can move forward with some of his claims against the city and his supervisor.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted part of the defendants’ bid for summary judgment, dismissing sergeant Mark Casey’s retaliation claim and parts of claims based on his now-withdrawn allegations of harassment by defendant Tyrell McCoy before McCoy became Casey’s supervisor.
