Perkins Coie, Ogletree Denied Fees for Boeing Job Bias Defense

Lawyers with Perkins Coie LLP and Ogletree Deakins can’t recover fees and costs they incurred in successfully defending Boeing Co. against a Black Muslim human resources employee’s discrimination lawsuit, a Pennsylvania federal judge ruled.

The law firms’ petition seeking legal fees as the prevailing party in the 2020 case was “as slipshod as anything it alleges” the former Boeing employee filed, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said.
