PennyMac Financial Services Inc. and related entities are free for now of allegations they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act, but the employees can amend their complaint and try again.
The current and former call center workers didn’t include enough details to support their FLSA claims, though there’s a chance they can fix those problems in their next complaint, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said. The mortgage lender also sought dismissal of the workers’ state-law claims, but the court declined to rule on that challenge at this stage.
