Peloton Hit With Class Action After Recent Bike Recall Notice

Peloton Interactive Inc. faces a class action over bikes recalled this month because the seat post could break unexpectedly.

Brandy Miller seeks to represent a nationwide class and a South Carolina sub-class of consumers who bought a Peloton bike between January 2018 and May 2023, the recall period.

According to the recall notice, “Peloton has received 35 reports of the seat post breaking and detaching from the bike during use, including 13 reports of injuries including a fractured wrist, lacerations and bruises due to falling from the bike.”
