PeaceHealth secured partial dismissal of a suit alleging it functioned as a government actor enforcing Covid-19 vaccine mandates, but the hospital operator must still face claims it failed to accommodate religious exemption requests, a federal judge said.
The workers’ allegations that PeaceHealth coordinated with Washington’s state government when it imposed a vaccine mandate are “speculative, conclusory, and implausible,” but the religious discrimination allegations can go forward, the US District Court for the Western District of Washington said.
