Texas lacks any credible evidence that a Latino advocacy group is registering non-citizens to vote, a federal judge ruled Thursday, ending Attorney General Ken Paxton’s (R) attempt to revoke the organization’s authority to conduct business in the state.
Paxton’s absence of voter fraud proof warrants a rare finding that he initiated the action in bad faith, US District Court Judge Robert Pitman said in a written order.
Pitman granted a preliminary injunction that slams shut Paxton’s bid to revoke Jolt Initiative Inc.'s corporate charter in a parallel lawsuit in state court.
