Paxton Denied Preferred Judge in Doctor Trans Care Records Probe

Child patients in Texas can ask a Democratic judge in Dallas to block the release of their medical records, a setback in Attorney General Ken Paxton’s (R) investigation into two doctors he says provided illegal sex-changing treatments.

The Dallas judge can review the subpoenas because the hospitals Paxton served are in that county, the Court of Appeals, Fifteenth District, ruled Thursday.
