Patreon Must Face Claims It Shared User Data With Facebook Pixel

Patreon Inc. failed defeat a lawsuit accusing the online content revenue generator of wrongfully sharing user data with Facebook Pixel.

A San Francisco federal judge on Thursday declined to dismiss claims the company breached California law by failing to disclose the data sharing. Judge Joseph C. Spero of the US District Court for the Northern District of California did reject allegations Patreon violated the federal Video Protection Privacy Act, but with leave to replead.
