Professional Parking Management Corp. illegally obtained the personal information of consumers from motor-vehicle records and used deceptive means to collect payment from them for its parking-lot clients, a proposed federal class action said.
Peter Cicale Jr. alleged that PPMC targeted consumers who parked their cars without paying in lots that it managed, obtained their addresses from motor-vehicle records without their consent, and sent them threatening parking “citations’ intended to resemble government-issued tickets.
