Pardoned Ex-Cincinnati Councilman Gets Supreme Court Break (1)

The US Supreme Court on Monday overturned the criminal judgment against a former Cincinnati councilman who was later pardoned by President Donald Trump for his bribery convictions.

The justices, in a two-sentence unsigned order, sent P.G. Sittenfeld’s case back to the Sixth Circuit for further consideration in light of the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio’s November request to dismiss the underlying indictment against him.
