Pampered Chef Agrees to Settle Suit Over Sharing of Video Info

The Pampered Chef Ltd. has agreed to settle a lawsuit alleging it shared the video viewing histories of website visitors with Google and Facebook in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act.

Rebeka Rodriguez alleged in the proposed class action that Pampered Chef, a multi-level marketing company that sells cookware and kitchenware, installed the Facebook pixel and the Google Analytics tracking tag on its website, allowing information about the videos she watched there to be transmitted to them without her consent.

Rodriguez filed a notice of settlement in the US District Court for the Central District of California June 9. ...
