Owner of ‘open.ai’ Domain Countersues OpenAI Over Trademarks

OpenAI Inc. was hit with a countersuit Wednesday from a technologist who claims ownership of the trademark “Open AI” and owns the open.ai web domain.

Guy Ravine, CEO of Open Artificial Intelligence Inc., already lost a preliminary injunction to ChatGPT-maker OpenAI, requiring him to stop using the “Open AI” trademark and suspending his website.
