Overstock.com Inc. allegedly violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and Washington wage law by failing to pay call center employees for computer-related tasks performed off the clock, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in a federal court in Utah.
The proposed collective and class action was brought by Taunja Love, who worked at an Overstock call center in Washington from June 2019 to July 2021. Love seeks to represent similarly situated workers in a state-law class and a nationwide FLSA collective.
Overstock enforced widespread policies and practices that resulted in unpaid wages, including overtime, according to the complaint.
