Orthofix Shareholders Sue Over Misstatements on Fired Executives

Orthofix Medical Inc. shareholders sued the spine device maker Monday for allegedly misleading investors about executives who took top roles after a merger with medical tech company SeaSpine and were later fired for harassment and other conduct.

The shareholder derivative complaint accuses Orthofix and its current and ex-officers of falsely assuring shareholders that the new management team was committed to conducting business in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

Shareholders Felicia Marti and Guillermo Marti filed the suit in the US District Court for Eastern District of Texas.
