Orlando Health Patient Advances Suit Over Google Info Sharing

Florida-based Orlando Health Inc. must face most claims of a proposed class action alleging it illegally shared patients’ health information without their consent with Meta Platforms Inc., Google LLC, and other tech companies.

Anonymous lead plaintiff W.W. adequately alleged that Orlando Health intercepted the “contents” of her communications within the meaning of the Florida Security of Communications Act, Judge Julie S. Sneed of the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida said Thursday.
