Order to Keep Women’s Sports at Texas University Nixed for Now

A Texas judge’s order requiring Stephen F. Austin State University to preserve three women’s sports set for elimination failed to clearly tell the school what actions it must take to maintain the teams, a federal appeals court said.

The injunction directing the school to keep the golf, bowling, and beach volleyball programs is vacated pending more clarity, the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled Thursday.
