Oracle Asks Judge to Deny Attorney Award in Failed NetSuite Suit

Attorneys for Oracle Corp. asked a judge to reject a request for $5 million in fees for the lawyers for a pension fund that unsuccessfully challenged its 2016 acquisition of Netsuite Inc.

The pension fund’s attorneys are asking the Delaware Court of Chancery to do something unprecedented in a case that wasn’t settled or dismissed, one of Oracle’s attorneys, Blake Rohrbacher of Richards Layton & Finger PA, said Friday in a hearing before Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock III.
