OpenAI, Mixpanel Face Class Action Lawsuit Over Data Breach (1)

A California resident sued OpenAI Inc. and Mixpanel Inc. on Monday for allegedly failing to protect personal information that was exposed in a November data breach affecting thousands of users.

Jon Woodard alleges in a class action complaint the companies violated their duty to safeguard user data when hackers accessed names, email addresses, locations, operating systems, browsers, referring websites, and user IDs. Woodard seeks damages and injunctive relief requiring improved security measures.
