OpenAI Hit With Copyright Infringement Suit From Ziff Davis (1)

Digital media publisher Ziff Davis Inc. and several of its subsidiaries, including IGN Entertainment Inc., are suing OpenAI for alleged copyright infringement.

The AI company has without consent “intentionally and relentlessly reproduced exact copies and created derivatives” of news articles published by Ziff Davis to help train OpenAI’s chatbot, the publisher alleged in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
